good morning, happy weekend!  i LOVE weekends and do not take them for granted any longer.  it's a time for me to get caught up from the week of family, work, school and dt work and it's beautiful.

i wanted to pop in and share a card created for the MME Pinspiration
post this week on the blog.  I have shared with you HOW MUCH i love these posts.  there is so, so much inspiration in our My Mind's Eye Inspiring Pages and Cards board.  i love to peruse the gallery of gorgeous projects and every single time, find it so hard to pick just one project.

this card by Lucy Abrams

isn't it just gorgeous?  love every last bit of it, from blocking to focal to stitching to sentiment placement, just gorgeous!  you can check out more from her amazing blog here too Lucy's Cards

and here is the card, completely inspired by her gorgeous creation

her gorgeous card, with the blocking and centered focal gave me a springboard to mix soft colors and center a layered flower embellishment

thank you Lucy for the inspiration

pop in to the My Mind's Eye blog to see more Pinspiration and creations

i hope to pop in a couple more times this weekend before the start of another week, thank you for visiting me

♥ cupcards to go summer card kit part 2 ♥

hello.  are you having record-setting heat or down-pouring rain right now where you live?  we are burning hot here and it makes it a challenge to keep kids cool and relaxed.  my kids are allergic to the chemicals in our local swimming pool, they have to swim in fresh water or smaller hotel pools, the larger swim centers have to use more of the chemicals and it does not sit well with any of my boys.  so, to cool them down, we take them to various lakes and smaller pools, which is a little ways away.  i am very excited for all the fun picture-taking opportunities and memories this week, it's a week i won't soon forget.

sorry for rambling, but this has been a H*O*T week and am wondering what it's like where YOU are.

i am back to share some more cards from the gorgeous CupCards to Go Isabella Summer card kit.
i love everything about this kit, from the papers, to the embellies, to the washi, to the sentiments, it's all perfect!

i shared the first set of the cards created with the kit HERE

here's Isabella
(Part Two)

i love this fabric paper that is in the kit and used it on quite a few cards, fun to play with!

the challenge this month was to create a masculine birthday card using the supplies in our kit also.   using my guitar die and the embellies/papers from the kit, this card was fun to create.

my "hello" card was inspired by this month's sketch

instead of the strip of paper in front of the block of cardstock, i chose to cut my paper and create faux washi tape with it.  i kept the greeting the focal of the card and embellished it with the fun and happy papers.

i cut one of the happy birthday sentiments down to just read "hello" for this particular card.

and with my leftovers from the kit, i created hand-made embellies.  i like to create hand-made embellies before throwing out the very last tidbits of a kit that were too small so when i need a card, it is easy to adhere them to some cardstock and go.  i actually have a small box of just handmade embellies for that very purpose and use it all the time.

and here are three cards i created with them and the tag will be tied to a gift bag very soon

and a shaker card using some fun sequins i had in my stash

i hope you'll check out Isabella
for yourself, you will NOT be disappointed, it is packed FULL of fun supplies in order to create a LOT of cards!

thank you so much for visiting me and for your incredibly sweet notes!

Danni Reid for MME

 Danni says:
April Fools Day is actually my maternal grandmother's birthday, so it's fun for us to create cards to make her smile and laugh out loud. Today I thought I would share this year's card with you.
I adhered my faux $20 bill to the inside flap, when the recipient (my grandmother) opens it up, trying to remove the $20 bill, they will see the 20 bucks (of the deer persuasion) instead......April Fools (smile)!!!

♥ masculine cards jillibean style ♥

good morning.  how are you?

i wanted to pop in here to share a couple of the cards i created with the jillibean soup game day chili line.  i love, love this line because we have 3 boys and 1 girl here (who also plays sports) so it's the perfect line for our many sports layouts and necessary cards.

sports love card
(click pics to enlarge)
these ticket die-cuts from this paper make me so dern happy and i wanted to have them be the focal on at least one of my cards.

birthday wishes card

these stars, oh these stars, they make me happy, a rainbow of stars....swooon.  so, i left them to be the focal on this CAS card and i love how colorful they are.
cut a banner strip from the lined diecut in this paper

happy card

my boys love all three sports very, very much.  during each season, they tell me whatever they are playing at the moment is their "favorite sport".  so i had to create a card with all three of the sports on it, now they will fight over who gets this one....giggle.

it's not how big you are card

i loved the circles from this diecut paper and wanted to make them the focal of a card.  the cute hearts and stars are so fun on these and make me smile.
