good evening. i am sorry about not posting sooner, we had our Christmas celebration at my mother in law's house last night and it was fabulous. we look forward to the time, family and memories made every year. as promised, here are the cards i created using the fronts of some of the Christmas cards we received this year instead of throwing them away. some of the cards i used the entire image, it was too cute to cut, and others, i cut away the image or sentiment depending on the idea that popped in my head. i typed a sentiment on the computer, a repeated "thank you" sentiment in typewriter vintage kind of setting. each card took me no longer than 3 minutes to create from beginning to end, and each card was re-read, re-loved and re-purposed.
here's the stack of some of the cards i used
on the larger images, like the ones below, i cut them down slightly, adhered my strip of "thank you" sentiment, stitched or stapled and adhered a glittered red heart cut with my Martha Stewart Punch
on the cards below, i cut sentiments or strips of sentiments from the various cards and adhered them to October Afternoon Silent Night line
i'll be back with more Christmas thank you cards created with the OA Silent Night line.
happy, happy creating♥

ReplyDeleteLove this idea, Miss Danni. I think I did something like this years ago...only with tag-making, I think it was. But I do need to get thank-you cards out and this is such a smart and easy idea. Always a delight to come by and see what you are up to.
ReplyDeleteHAPPY NEW YEAR
