good morning! how are you? i hope you are enjoying your weekend.
i am up over at the
October Afternoon blog today, yes! i know, on a SUNDAY, wahoo! with CHA this month, they designed the calendar so as to have sneaks and pics from the show, and in order for all of us to have our posts, i was selected to have a lucky sunday post, how fun is this? and since it's a sunday post, and we are possibly still in jammies, i thought i would share a few of my thoughts and feelings on this line as well as the cards, something i don't usually do, but hey, it's sunday.....giggle!
so today i am sharing three new cards created with the
October Afternoon Farm Girl line to show you how incredible versatile this line is. like ALL of the
October Afternoon lines the 'B' sides allow you to create anything you like, regardless of the 'theme' of the line which is of course brilliant! so let me share with you some of the colors and patterns in this cuuuute line.
at first glance, you may not need the 'A' side of "Barnyard" for your project, but if you flip it over, you can see, you can use the 'B' side for a LOT of various projects....no secret, but just sharing how i really loved it in this particular line
and i didn't need the "tomatoes" for my card from the "Wooden Crate" paper, but i really needed that wood-grain....a lot!
i will definitely be using the seed packets from the "Wheelbarrow" paper, but not on these cards, so check out the 'B" side i was able to play with today
i know this is not a new thing for
October Afternoon, it's what we love about them, but i share this with you because when i first looked at this line, i wondered how i would use it "everyday" and i have a little red-headed, long-haired beautiful daughter, but it is PERFECT for your everyday.
homemade hello card
love, love the label stickers in this line, the color is PERFECT to accentuate the bolder palette of the line, baby blue.....
and these stickers.....swooon! perfect for layering and adding embellies or MORE stickers...wink!
and LOVE these, a LOT! they off-set the
color in the line drawing you back neutral and it's so fun to see the
contrast between the two
on my next card, i wanted to play with the summer, homemade feel to this line, without the veggies, but still with the feel that you had just come in from the garden
homemade love card
i think you already know how much i love the miscellany packs, they are my go-to embellishments, i love them so much
and it's hard not to put these on every single card, multiple times, i just might run out of these packs
don't those colors just scream summer? creating these cards really made me happy, the feel of summer all over my desk, it was so much fun.
and for my last card, i wanted to play with some of the cute die cuts and "farm stickers" but still keep it an "everyday" card
oh happy day card
and how about these doo dads?
♥ it!
i hope you have had a great weekend and maybe find a little time to pull out your
October Afternoon Farm Girl supplies and create a little happy on your desk too!
thank you so very, very much for all the incredible comments and taking time to visit me!
hugs & so much love!
