playing with the cameo

and some scraps today.
my sweet hubby purchased the Cameo for my Valentine's/birthday present. my hubby has offered to purchase any/all electronic machines as they were released, but i have been quite content with my Cuttlebug.
i was not been interested in purchasing cartridges, as expensive as they were, for only a couple of images that i would be able to use. so, when they released the Cameo, with the online store allowing you to purchase one image at a time, i was sold and hubby purchased it.
am i spoiled or what? i think so ;)

so, i have been playing with this fun, new machine, and loving it.

here's the new download i purchased and used on this card

4 x 6 life cards

they are fabulous if you are thinking of purchasing them.

and here's the card i created with the chevron strips from the life card.

get well soon card

i decided to use a double-sided pp, one that would be fun to flip the chevrons on the card. i stitched the blue chevrons to add some detail before adhering the flowers.

card ingredients:

Papertrey Ink Kraft Cardstock
American Crafts Peachy Keen pp
Pebbles 3-d Floral Lane floral stickers
Papertrey Ink stamp & fresh snow ink
buttons from stash
Singer thread

thanks for visiting me today, i'm off to put together the rest of the kids valentine goodies for their classrooms.

my youngest is sharing these cuuuute valentines

Super Hero Lollipop Valentines

he's been cutting out all the capes and is really excited. but the masks are a little trickier, so mom's going to give those a go.

happy monday♥
hugs.

  7. Love the chevrons and your stitching is just amazing!

I've been thinking about the Cameo (but here I am the one who needs to justify the price for my DH *lol*). To be honest, I can't even justify it for my self, so that's why I still didn't get one. I am looking forward to see all your Cameo creations. Maybe you'll help me change my mind ;-)
