♥ CupCards to Go Flutterby ♥

Are you ready for a new CupCards to Go Spring card kit?  The Spring kits are some of my absolute favorites from CupCards to Go.  I love how we say goodbye to winter, cold, the blues and burst out with some yellows, pinks, reds and blueberry.  You are sure to love this kit, packed full of Pebbles goodness and the most fun embellies, you are going to have a fun time and feel spring in your bones, I just know it.

Here are the cards I created with the kit this month

 happy times card

i absolutely love the mix of stickers, chipboard and banner stickers in this kit

take a moment card

i love this sentiment sticker so much and the gorgeous butterfly, it is almost to pretty to even use, love it!

made with love card

i love the colors in these circle stickers and wanted to layer them and showcase them in a fun/springy way

 hello friend card

i love, love the blueberry dots in this kit and the fun and beautiful rub-ons

thank you postcard and envelope

the kit this month comes with two "postcard" style cards and envelopes and they are AWESOME, can't wait to see what the other designers came up with using these.  the cute postcard style is perfect for decorating the front and turning over for a quick note, but don't forget the cute envelope, pretty it up to match the postcard and you're sure to put a smile on someone's face

thank you kindly card

i challenged myself this month to use the "house" stickers that come in the kit in a way other than houses.  i decided to use them as "banner arrows" since arrows are really "in" right now.  i love the look of all three of them together and to add dimension, i lifted the "triangle" portion of the houses up slightly so as to be "pointing"

 you make me smile

looooove the butterfly and clothespin sentiment, loooove them.  this will be going to a special someone....wink

enjoy your day card

as you can see, this kit is PACKED full of fun embellies, gorgeous papers and SPRINGTIME in a box, don't wait.  to check out all the other amazing designs from the DT you can visit the DT GALLERY.  also there is a competition this month for a GUEST DESIGN TEAM spot and you can see all the info HERE

have a great weekend!
hugs & so much love!

♥ CupCards to Go valentine kit ♥

hurry over to grab one up before they're all gone, Heartbreaker is filled with all kinds of Valentine yumminess!  you can check out the DT gallery to see the items in the kit in lots of card ideas.

and here is the sketch this month

here are the cards i created using the kit

better together card

i love all the cute embellishments that come in the kit, from the cuuute layered stickers, to the chipboard chairs to the felt heart cut-out, they're all so cute.

when all is said and done card

this card was created for the washi tape challenge this month. the challenge is to use the washi tape in the kit in a unique and fun way.  i added a sticker sentiment i had in my stash that i thought would be perfect for this and the cute washi tape and those epoxy hearts....swoon!

sweet love card

this card uses an entire rub-ons sheet from the kit, i loved the rub-ons so much, i couldn't bare the thought of seperating them or cutting them apart.  i carefully rubbed them onto a block of white card stock and matted that with some beautiful patterned paper.  i then cut apart the bling heart embellie to use it on this card, those pink gems were cut from the hearts and applied to the dots in the rubs.  i adhered the "cherrish" chipboard piece over the cherries on the rubs and added a "love" sentiment from my stash on my desk.

sketch card
i just love you card

love card

these beautiful hearts are from the patterned paper and are so gorgeous, love layering them with trim, the beautiful pink twine and buttons.

mini valentine card (3" square)

i wanted to use this cuuuute ribbon in a fun way and thought it would be fun to accentuate a mini card that i could sneak in a lunch box, love to do that ;)

i can't wait to see what you'll create!

♥ a new scraptastic challenge ♥

good morning!  how was your weekend?  i am fighting "the cold" and it's not a fun one but other than that, it was beautiful and enjoyable even with spots of snow at times.

the new CARD challenge is up over at Scraptastic Scrapbooking Kits this morning.  i hope a lot of you will be able to join in too, it's amazing to see the card inspiration (i have a couple in mind for a lift challenge soon already)

today's challenge:

create a card, layout or set of TWO tags inspired by the sketch below

layout/card sketch by danni reid

cardlayoutsketchscraptasticdannireid_zps

i wanted to create a belly-band kind of sketch for this week's challenge because belly-bands leave plenty of room for interpretation, can be very quick to create or as layered and detailed as you would like.  this is a sketch i, personally, will refer to a lot when creating because it's so easy to change up and have completely different cards.

and here is my take on the sketch and bonus challenge using the Scraptastic January Scrapbooking Kit Chasing Pavements

i absolutely love the stickers that came in the kit this month.  they have tons of hearts, ampersands and arrows and they are so, so much fun to add to cards and layouts.  i also love the label stickers in the kit, they are perfect for layout/card designers alike for sentiments, journaling or layering.

and here is my manufacturer strip that came on one of the sheets of patterned papers in the kit, love this cute little strip and the type set

♥ hello Farm Girl ♥

good morning!  how are you?  i hope you are enjoying your weekend.
i am up over at the October Afternoon blog today, yes! i know, on a SUNDAY, wahoo!  with CHA this month, they designed the calendar so as to have sneaks and pics from the show, and in order for all of us to have our posts, i was selected to have a lucky sunday post, how fun is this? and since it's a sunday post, and we are possibly still in jammies, i thought i would share a few of my thoughts and feelings on this line as well as the cards, something i don't usually do, but hey, it's sunday.....giggle!

so today i am sharing three new cards created with the October Afternoon Farm Girl line to show you how incredible versatile this line is.  like ALL of the October Afternoon lines the 'B' sides allow you to create anything you like, regardless of the 'theme' of the line which is of course brilliant!  so let me share with you some of the colors and patterns in this cuuuute line.

http://www.octoberafternoon.com/images/products/OA_FG_PP687_iA.jpg

at first glance, you may not need the 'A' side of "Barnyard" for your project, but if you flip it over, you can see, you can use the 'B' side for a LOT of various projects....no secret, but just sharing how i really loved it in this particular line

http://www.octoberafternoon.com/images/products/OA_FG_PP687_iB.jpg

 http://www.octoberafternoon.com/images/products/OA_FG_PP691_iB.jpg

and i didn't need the "tomatoes" for my card from the "Wooden Crate" paper, but i really needed that wood-grain....a lot!

http://www.octoberafternoon.com/images/products/OA_FG_PP690_iA.jpg

i will definitely be using the seed packets from the "Wheelbarrow" paper, but not on these cards, so check out the 'B" side i was able to play with today

http://www.octoberafternoon.com/images/products/OA_FG_PP690_iB.jpg

i know this is not a new thing for October Afternoon, it's what we love about them, but i share this with you because when i first looked at this line, i wondered how i would use it "everyday" and i have a little red-headed, long-haired beautiful daughter, but it is PERFECT for your everyday.

homemade hello card

love, love the label stickers in this line, the color is PERFECT to accentuate the bolder palette of the line, baby blue.....

http://www.octoberafternoon.com/images/products/OA_FG_SS452_iA.jpg

and these stickers.....swooon!  perfect for layering and adding embellies or MORE stickers...wink!

 http://www.octoberafternoon.com/images/products/OA_FG_SS450_iA.jpg

and LOVE these, a LOT!  they off-set the color in the line drawing you back neutral and it's so fun to see the contrast between the two

http://www.octoberafternoon.com/images/products/OA_FG_SS453_iA.jpg

on my next card, i wanted to play with the summer, homemade feel to this line, without the veggies, but still with the feel that you had just come in from the garden

homemade love card

i think you already know how much i love the miscellany packs, they are my go-to embellishments, i love them so much

http://www.octoberafternoon.com/images/products/OA_FG_DC194_iA.jpg

and it's hard not to put these on every single card, multiple times, i just might run out of these packs

http://www.octoberafternoon.com/images/products/OA_FG_EM471_iA.jpg

don't those colors just scream summer?  creating these cards really made me happy, the feel of summer all over my desk, it was so much fun.

and for my last card, i wanted to play with some of the cute die cuts and "farm stickers" but still keep it an "everyday" card

oh happy day card

and how about these doo dads?
